Frequently Asked Questions
Products & Compatibility
What plugin formats are supported?
Our plugins ship in the most widely used formats so they load directly inside your sessions. They ship as VST3, Audio Unit (AU), and AAX (Pro Tools) on Mac, and VST3 and AAX (Pro Tools) on Windows. AAX is fully supported on both platforms, so Pro Tools users are covered on Mac and Windows alike. For a full breakdown by platform, see System Requirements.
Which DAWs and operating systems are supported?
CELEST DSP plugins work in any host that supports the formats above, including the major DAWs on both Mac and Windows. Supported operating systems are macOS 10.13 (High Sierra) or later and Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). Full details are listed on the System Requirements page.
Are the plugins Apple Silicon native?
Yes. Our plugins run natively on Apple Silicon as well as Intel Macs, so you get full performance on M-series machines without translation layers. They also run under Rosetta if your host requires it.
Which plugins are available?
Super Kick, Super Drums, Super Bass, Super Vox, Super GTR, Super Synth, and Drum Spice are all available now. You can explore every plugin and both bundles in the Plugins section.
Trial & Purchase
Is there a free trial?
The six Super plugins include a fully functional 30-day trial with no card, account, email, or activation required. The CELEST DSP Shape trial in Drum Spice also lasts 30 days and requires an account and newsletter opt-in. Audio Spices manages the Flavor engine trial separately. No payment method is needed, and nothing renews or charges automatically.
How do I buy a plugin?
Open the plugin from the Plugins section, add it to your cart, and check out securely through our storefront. Your license and download links appear in your account immediately after purchase.
What payment methods and currencies do you accept?
Checkout is handled by our secure storefront provider, which accepts major credit and debit cards and common digital wallets. Pricing and the accepted currencies are shown at checkout: prices are shown in US Dollars, with local currency and any applicable taxes calculated automatically at checkout.
Do prices include tax?
Any applicable VAT, GST, or sales tax is calculated based on your location and shown before you confirm payment. The final total at checkout reflects everything you will be charged, with a full breakdown on your receipt.
Installation & Activation
How do I install a plugin?
Open the product page, choose its trial action, select the installer for your platform, and run it. Super plugin trials need no account. The Drum Spice Shape trial requires an account and newsletter opt-in; its Flavor engine follows Audio Spices' trial terms. For a purchased plugin, download the latest installer from your account. The Support & Install page covers both paths step by step.
Where are the files installed?
The Windows installer places the plug-ins in the standard system-wide folders:
- VST3:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\ - AAX (Pro Tools):
C:\Program Files\Common Files\Avid\Audio\Plug-Ins\
The AAX folder is used only when the AAX format is included and selected during installation.
How do I activate or authorize the plugin?
Super plugin trials run without activation. After purchase, open the plugin in your DAW and sign in with the account used at checkout, or use the provided offline license option. Drum Spice has two engines, each authorized through its maker's account; see the Drum Spice manual. The Support & Install page walks through CELEST DSP activation.
How many machines can I install on?
Each Super plugin license allows 2 simultaneous activations on your own machines. The CELEST DSP Shape license in Drum Spice allows 3. Its Audio Spices Flavor engine is activated separately through Audio Spices. If you reach the limit, deactivate a machine you no longer use. See the Drum Spice manual for its two-engine setup.
What happens if I get a new computer?
Your license travels with your account, not your hardware. Install the plugin on the new machine and sign in to authorize it. If you have hit your activation limit, deactivate the old machine from your account or contact Support & Install for a reset.
Licensing
Can I use the plugins commercially?
Yes. Your license permits use in commercial productions, including paid mixes, releases, and client work, with no additional royalties. The full terms are set out in the EULA.
Can I transfer or resell my license?
Licenses are issued to you personally and are generally non-transferable, as described in the EULA. If you have a special circumstance, reach out through Contact and we will do our best to help.
Can students or schools use the plugins?
Yes. A standard license covers educational and personal study use. For multi-seat or lab licensing at an institution, get in touch via Contact and we will find an arrangement that fits.
Refunds & Billing
What is your refund policy?
Because the free trial lets you evaluate the plugin fully before buying, we keep refunds simple and fair. We offer refunds within 14 days of purchase. See the Refund Policy for the complete details.
I was charged incorrectly. What do I do?
Contact us right away at [email protected] with your order number and what looks wrong, or reach out through Contact. We will review your receipt and correct any billing error promptly.
Will I be charged on a recurring basis?
No. Our plugins are one-time purchases, not subscriptions, so you are charged once and own your license. Starting a free trial never requires a payment method or triggers an automatic charge.
Updates & Support
Do I get free updates?
Yes. Maintenance and compatibility updates for the plugins you own are free and available from your account. We will let you know when a new version is ready to download.
How do I get help?
Start with the Support & Install page for setup and troubleshooting guides. For anything else, open a live support chat for the fastest response, or email [email protected].
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
We genuinely want the feedback. Send bug reports and feature ideas through Contact, and include your plugin version, DAW, and operating system so we can reproduce the issue quickly.
